Daniel Blatteis, Co-Chairman
Daniel Blatteis has over 25 years of real estate experience in landlord and tenant representation, leasing, management, investment sales and redevelopment. Mr. Blatteis has negotiated the sale of nearly a full city block in Beverly Hills for the 120,000 square foot west coast flagship of Barneys New York. He has also handled numerous leases throughout the U.S. on behalf of such luxury retailers as Giorgio Armani, Emporio Armani, Prada, Mui Mui, Salvatore Ferragamo and LVMH/DFS Galleria.
Mr. Blatteis began his career at Phillip Lyon, Gordon & Company, a regional shopping center development firm in Los Angeles. He was involved with the firm's major development of The Beverly Center in Los Angeles, a 900,000 square foot urban retail center. Subsequently, Mr. Blatteis was Senior Real Estate Office for Citicorp Real Estate Investment Management, Inc. Responsibilities included asset management of the 400,000 square foot western region retail portfolio and approximately 700,000 square feet of office and R&D space valued in excess of $700,000,000.
Mr. Blatteis is currently spearheading the growth of Blatteis & Schnur as a national brokerage company with offices in major cities throughout the country, as well as the growth of Blatteis & Schnur's principal investment activities.
Mr. Blatteis holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
Robert Schnur, Co-Chairman
Robert Schnur has been creatively involved in the real estate industry for the past 25 years. The first half of his career took place in New York where he served as a Vice-President of Walter & Samuels, Inc., a formidable real estate firm based in Manhattan. He was also a member of the Real Estate Board of New York's Retail Committee.
Since 1991, Mr. Schnur has guided the national retail path of The Cheesecake Factory and Grand Lux Cafe, having served as their exclusive real estate representative, and negotiated over 100 leases on their behalf in the nation's leading retail markets. The Cheesecake Factory has won numerous awards and has become the nation's top grossing chain on a per unit basis.
Mr. Schnur's unique vision was instrumental in the upscale leasing of approximately 500,000 square feet at the Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian in Las Vegas. His contributions have led to the center's successful sales performance in excess of $1,000 per square foot annually.
Mr. Schnur continues to guide the retail growth of The Cheesecake Factory, Grand Lux Cafe and Rock Sugar.
F. Scott Ball, Chief Executive Officer
F. Scott Ball serves as Chief Executive Officer of Blatteis & Schnur. Prior to joining the firm, he served as Senior Vice President of Asset Management at The Rouse Company where he was responsible for the portfolio of 40,000,000 square feet of retail space generating $550,000,000 in annual net operating income. He developed and managed the strategy to expand luxury, international and new business efforts.
Subsequently, Mr. Ball was recruited by The Mills Corporation as Executive Vice President for the Leasing and Asset Management Divisions. He managed the senior leadership team which was responsible for all facets of business for 42 domestic and international regional shopping centers with over $800,000,000 in net operating income until its sale to Simon Property Group in 2007.
Mr. Ball holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from LaSalle University. He is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and Urban Land Institute (ULI).
Marc Guth, Principal
Marc Guth began his real estate career in brokerage and leasing with The Rouse Company where he was responsible for over 4,000,000 square feet of enclosed centers. He played a significant role in the leasing efforts for new and remodeled projects and ground up developments, including River Walk in New Orleans, one of the nation's preeminent festival projects.
Subsequently, Mr. Guth spent six years at Westfield America, the world's largest shopping center REIT in the country. He was responsible for the management of the company's western region portfolio and was instrumental in expanding Westfield's U.S. portfolio.
Mr. Guth joined Blatteis & Schnur in 2000 and has been involved in the national growth of The Cheesecake Factory, Grand Lux Cafe and Rock Sugar, identifying 100%, Main/Main locations in the country's most affluent and desirable retail and entertainment districts.
Mr. Guth holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from the University of Missouri. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
Scott Schuster, Principal
Scott Schuster joined Blatteis & Schnur in 1994 and has been an invaluable asset to the firm in representing high end retailers and restaurants throughout the country. He focuses his attention on expanding nationally such esteemed clients such as Kenneth Cole, Fresh, The Art of Shaving, Taryn Rose, Salt Creek Grille, Lucky Strike Lanes and Pink Taco. He is also involved as a senior broker in the leasing and specialty retail developments nationally. Projects include The Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian, Huntington Beach Pacific City, The Village At Queensridge in Las Vegas and The Cheesecake Factory.
Mr. Schuster holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science degree from Syracuse University. He is an active member of the Young Men's/Women's Real Estate Association of New York (YM/WREA) and International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
